Currently living in my own home in a small town, but homestead living is my ultimate ideal. I'd love to have a place like this, with plenty invested in energy infrastructure (Solar, wind turbines) to handle my power hungry tools, big pantry freezers and the like.

And low property tax bills.

I just happened to find your channel recently and I’m totally hooked. I also live up in the lakes country of Minnesota by Perham on Star Lake. My wife and I have had a log cabin on 10 acres of land by Osage Minnesota, It had electricity but no running water. Our kids grew grew up there with many wonderful memories. We used it as a weekend cabin we have gone full-time RVing for two years and I love watching your videos, the simple life off the grid is so appealing. I totally get it and I totally understand how you love it, I have a lot of videos to catch up on. I’m trying to start from the beginning and go through them but you have a fan from Minnesota👍

did he mention the dimensions/footprint of whole cabin at all? Im guessing from size of living room and kitchen width is 20 & length around 22-24 ft long? total square footage with loft around 600-800? sending blessings from Big Island, HI!

It's interesting to me how most people (including myself) cannot do this. We lack the skill. Not all that long ago relatively things like this were common yet nowadays are often demonized as 'crazy conspiracy hillbilly stuff'...you have to wonder why. This guy doesn't pay corporations for much of anything, he isn't profitable. He is self sufficient in a world where the governments and companies want to control everyone in every way.

You're amid such beautiful wilderness/nature, eat sun-cooked food. Eat what nature already has cooked for you. Go vegetarian. No animals deserve to be eaten. They're beautiful beings. Blo*dshed isn't even an option for HUMANS. You get all your nutritions from greens. You're not just consuming their meat but along with that comes their pain, cry, nervousness and anger. Excellent video. Well done on achieving to live as you desire. It is a dream of many of us but very few are blessed to get there. Please can you do a video and let us know how did you purchase the land , the logistics of it, and how much it cost to get what you got. Im not talking about specifics on your land but aanaverage of how much probably cost a move like that. I guess the financial aspect is the barrier for many of us, but if you can lay out a road map , ow to achieve something similar will be well appreciated. Thanks in advance , nd God bless.

didn't learn until I was older and kept chickens for several years that the mother hen is not actually the mother of all the chicks, since chickens tend to lay eggs in each others boxes. She's just the one that sits on them and hatches them and is the adopted mother of many of the chicks.
